North East Structural Yoga Therapy, LCC

According to the teachings of Structural Yoga ™ “ Health is not merely determined by the physical body nor is it created by physical exercise alone. The Sanskrit word for health is svastha, which literally translated means “established in the Self”. To the yogis, true health is a coming home to your Self. In the condition of not being at home to your Self, there is dis-ease. For most people however, the bodies are separated, blocked from communicating with each other. In Yoga training, the proper practice of asana, pranayama and contemplation returns the five bodies (koshas) to a right relationship with themselves. Hence we are aligned again and re-established with ourselves.
Structural Yoga Therapy, Mukunda Stiles
The goal of yoga therapy is to return to a state of balance and
harmony. Achieving this state of peace and tranquility returns
the body and mind to ease. Disease naturally melts away. Give
yourself the gift of harmony through yoga. Small group classes, workshops, and private Yoga Therapy sessions are offered with this goal of achieving "sattva", and relieving suffering, pain, and discomfort.

"The slide show was excellent. It really helped me to see the muscles used in each movement. Can't wait for Mangala to come back!"
"This workshop was very helpful as well as enjoyable. I liked the laid back flow and lack of "strictness" Mangala was great."
"Good information! Material well presented with excellent use of graphics."
"I really enjoyed learning about the anatomy and physiology of the muscles and joints. Seeing the illustrations was very helpful. Great way to help understand the function of the muscles. Also loved the practice - good to feel it and experience it personally. Thanks!"
"This course was fantastic and I am so fortunate to be able to take a course with Mangala. Her expertise, and overall gestalt of her entire yogic experience was a great opportunity for all of us to share. While her knowledge of anatomy and physiology was important, I benefited as much from her viewpoint of yoga. And it was just plain fun to get to know her. She told us again and again that yoga adapts to the individual rather than the person adapting to the yoga. Likewise the inner teacher trumps the outer teacher. This is a revolutionary approach to yoga and embodies the least didactic road."
"I thoroughly enjoyed your Structural Yoga Training. You are a gifted teacher and I learned a lot more than just the stated curriculum. Thanks again for all you good work."
